Welcome to the Savvy and Victor NEWSLETTER for Hallowe'en 2009

Savvy & Victor Are On The Move!

Savvy & Victor desks will be cleared this week as we make ready to move into new larger office and studio space in Uckfield, East Sussex.

"Says Joanna Allen, Creative Director of Savvy & Victor. "While our country barn location has suited us thus far, we feel we now need a little more life around us. We chose Uckfield as our new home because it is perfectly positioned within our main areas of business - London, Brighton, Lewes, Tunbridge Wells, Crawley and Greater Gatwick. Add to this that it has a mainline station less than a minute away and we couldn't have chosen a better position. Business is good, we have just taken on a new business development manager to help promote our brand development, internal branding, creative communications and marketing services; and PR personal to work on behalf of our clients. We want to maintain this business momentum - our new studio and offices will help us to do it!"

Spooky goings on!

By Adam Claxton

Advertisers constantly need to look for effective ways to promote their products - tapping into topical events is one of the best! This approach is particularly powerful in the minds of an audience as it anchors the new experience to existing memories and emotions.

Take this spooky VW TV advertisement for example... Rather aptly timed, those clever people at VW say this was not set up, we'll let you decide...

VW set about making this new ad somewhere in the hills of central Europe, when the filming was finished and the video was in the editors suite they noticed something moving along the side of the car - a white mist in the shape of a torso.

The ad wasn't approved for TV broadcast in the end, but thanks to viral marketing the unexplained ghostly phenomenon is available for all to see, and I am sure, has still managed to achieve the required result with its audience.

NOTE: As the car emerges from the trees look closely and you will see the ghostly figure crossing in front of the car then following it along the road....

Top Fact of the Month

Did you know that 99% of all the worlds pumpkins are used as Jack 'O lanterns on Hallowe'en.

Also, if your pumpkin shrivels up, you can restore it by soaking it in water overnight.

Adam's Monthly Doodle

monthly doodle

A hauntingly expressionless spoooooky doodle.

(Black Bic biro on A4 lined paper)

I wanted this girl to be connected to the ground by limbs that morph into the trunk and roots of a tree, I particularly like her arms as they remind me of the classic film 'Beetle Juice'.
